Sullivan County Head Start, Inc. is a 501c(3) not-for-profit organization that depends greatly on support from the community at large. Our funders require that the programs we administer provide a match to the revenues they give. Eighty percent (80 %) of our funding is received from the federal government through grants and twenty percent (20%) from the community. The twenty percent match can be in the form of monies, goods and services.

The funding received through grants are not sufficient to maintain the day to day operations of the programs. You can support us in the following ways:

Monies that are donated will be utilized to support program needs that are not covered by the federal budget. You can mail in a check or utilize the Donate button below.

Items that can be donated are diapers, toothbrushes, baby wipes, blankets, books, indoor/outdoor play items, music, and computers for the classrooms, children software, office supplies (paper, etc.) and many other items.

Services include volunteering in our programs (background check and clearance required) by helping in the classrooms, clerical work in the offices, helping in the kitchen or being a bus monitor on our buses.

Our Board of Directors is made up of a diverse group of volunteers that hold expertise in multiple areas such as social services, finance, law, public health, education and child care.

Volunteer your expertise in a designated area of the program that is needed.
